Canvassing is all about connecting with people. At Black Fork Strategies, our teams carry out engagement programming in every region across Ohio. During peak campaign season, we employ up to 200 employees across seven offices with a roaming rural/small town team.

Black Fork Strategies is committed to paying a living wage to all hourly and salaried employees, and developing grassroots leaders through each campaign. As a result, our canvassers emerge as progressive leaders with the professional skills to transform their own communities.

We provide continuous coaching, field-based training, and office-based retraining for staff to ensure they fully understand and follow all state and federal laws and procedures. We train our canvassers not to complete any written materials for potential voters; our staff may review forms but they cannot question the information provided by the voter.
